Gissia Castelnoble is a registered Psychologist (Master of Psychology in Education and Development) and Counsellor for Mental Health issues (Diploma of Counselling Australian College of Applied Psychology). She is a Member of both the Australian Psychology Society (APS) and the Specialist College of Educational and Developmental psychologists (CEDP). Gissia has a particular interest in childhood, adolescent and adult mental health, resilience building and positive well-being. She provides specialised support to clients of all ages and empowers them to work through and achieve their treatment goals in a caring and safe environment. She works within Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Solution-Focused Therapy and other psychological frameworks, which are well-researched psychological-intervention modalities. Gissia uses sandplay therapy to assist young children in communicating and resolving emotional, behavioural and social issues. One of her favourite quotes says, “Tough times never last, but tough people do!” — Robert Schuller. Even the toughest people reach out for help. We can not heal in isolation. Gissia helps her clients identify their strengths, develop healthier self-beliefs and enhance their resilience to navigate difficult times and create their path to happiness. When not working, Gissia devotes time to her family and hobbies. She enjoys reading, writing book reviews and poetry, and penning picture books and fairytale adaptations. Her literary works aim to build and foster resilience among children and young people. You are welcome to take a look at Gissia's first children's e-book, The Helpful Star, at
