Evan is a Mental Health Social Worker. He works with patients from 12 years old to adulthood. Evan is highly skilled at treating people who have experience of major mental illness, trauma and high prevalence mental health issues including anxiety and depression. He has training and experience working with people who are neurodiverse. Evan has experience working with people who have been diagnosed with Autism, ADHD and intellectual disability. He found it very rewarding and is interested in doing more work in this area.
Evan has provided effective treatment for people who have been diagnosed with major mental illnesses including psychotic and mood disorders, Autism, intellectual disability, depression, anxiety and ADHD. He takes a wide angle approach and develops clinical assessments in the context of a biopsychosocial model. Evan will take time to assess clients and identify the situations that worsen symptoms or trigger symptoms. He works with people to build internal resilience and to help them problem solve to reduce the impact of stressful situations on their mental health. Evan encourages people to build and maintain genuine motivation to make sustainable changes in their lives that are evidence based to improve mental health. He has experience using tools to evaluate the efficacy of treatment and incorporating the results in interventions.
