Dr Renee Hewitt completed a Masters in Clinical Neuropsychology and a PhD from the University of Melbourne in 2013. She has also undertaken further studies in Clinical Psychology. Her major research thesis focused on adolescent mental health. Clinically, she has extensive experience working as a Clinical Neuropsychologist in public health settings with clients across the lifespan.
Renee has an interest in supporting children with acquired brain injury and neurodevelopmental and learning difficulties. She is a strong advocate for her clients and adopts a practical approach to optimising learning outcomes. She also provides general psychology support for individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, stress and coping, adjustment, and health related concerns. She practices predominantly from a cognitive behavioural therapy focus and enjoys integrating new skills and practices into sessions. She provides a flexible and collaborative approach to promote emotional wellbeing through life’s daily challenges.
