Overview

Rural ND AuDHD Counselling Psychologist ♾ | Board Approved Supervisor|professional mentor, coach and consultant. Over the last 20 years living and working as a counselling psychologist in rural Victoria, I have developed a deep connection with and understanding of the values, challenges and culture unique to country people, families and communities. Whether facing drought, floods, financial stress, declining populations, restricted employment opportunities, or a limited availability of services, country people show a deep resilience and generosity of spirit to assist others. I am passionate about providing excellent quality mental health care to rural people, as close to home as possible, providing a space in which all can feel safe, heard and understood. It is my aim to demystify and destigmatise the mental health struggles we often face, and facilitate people to seek the support they need. By building a team of equally passionate clinicians, it is my hope to provide this support to as many people as I can. I also support other rural mental health clinicians, through the provision of clinical supervision and networking opportunities. Community members: If you are struggling, or are concerned about someone who is, please contact us to find out more about how we may be able to support you. It is an honour to help. Clinicians: If you are a rural clinician, feeling isolated and alone in your practice, or needing some peer support, I am available for 1:1 and group clinical supervision, mentoring and professional networking. If you are a mental health practitioner passionate about working in the rural context, and would like to join my mission of excellent quality rural mental health care provision, I am currently building my clinical team. Psychologists and provisional psychologists; social workers, nurses, and OTs accredited in mental health; family therapists and professional counsellors are all welcome. Please message or email me directly for more information about how to join us.
