Jane is a clinical psychologist with a PhD in Clinical Psychology from The University of Queensland and a member of the Australian Psychological Society. Jane has over 25 years’ experience across a broad range of areas encompassing community mental health, private practice, employee assistance programs and organisational psychology. Jane’s approach is authentic, warm and direct, allowing her to initiate and grow one-on-one relationships, navigate tough conversations and quickly grasp client needs. Using a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, Jane can skillfully translate complex psychological theory into practical, meaningful solutions that have a transformational effect for individuals. These include Schema Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Solution-Focused Therapy. The issues Jane can help you with include abuse, anxiety disorders, depression and low mood, difficult life transitions, emotional dysregulation, excessive worry and rumination, insomnia and sleep issues, grief and loss, panic attacks, marital issues and couples counselling. When Jane’s not working she loves to walk her dogs, go to the gym, practice meditation and yoga and spend as much time as possible at the beach. She has travelled and worked around the globe with one of the most notable trips being a trek to Everest Base Camp.
