Jennifer MPsych (Clinical), PGDip ClinPsych, BA(Hons – First Class) is a psychologist who understands that a good therapeutic relationship is the starting point of any meaningful work with her clients. She is genuine and easy to talk to, and is dedicated to creating a safe space for her clients to share their stories. Jennifer has worked in the fields of health psychology as well as general mental health in adults and children. These experiences have equipped her with skills in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of a range of mental health presentations. In addition, she has developed expertise in the management of tinnitus and hypersensitivity of hearing. Recognising that everyone is unique and different, she sees the importance of establishing a collaborative therapeutic relationship, and is committed to tailoring evidence-based interventions to her clients with different situations and backgrounds to effectively promote their mental wellbeing. Through her years of clinical work, Jennifer has pursued her interest in working with adults experiencing a range of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, social adjustment issues, stress management, and cross-cultural issues. She is passionate about therapy, and is always committed to further increasing her professional knowledge to ensure she can provide the best possible care for her clients. Johanna McCarthy (M Prof Psych, B Psych (Hons)) is a provisional psychologist who is in the final stages of her internship year before receiving full registration as a psychologist in early 2024. Johanna is passionate about providing a safe and supportive space for clients and values the importance of respect, warmth, acceptance, and a non-judgmental approach in her work. Johanna has experience in working with children, adolescents and adults. She has an interest in life adjustment challenges, anxiety and mood disorders, emotion dysregulation, and helping clients increase meaning and fulfillment in their lives. Johanna is supported by our senior clinical supervisors and is dedicated to the use of evidence-based treatments and collaborative approaches to therapy. Johanna is experienced in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness-based interventions and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.

Katelyn (M Clin Psych, BA (Hons – First Class), MAPS) has experience working at a leading university research clinic in the area of anxiety disorders, as a school counsellor and in private practice work for adult mental health in the the North Shore area of Sydney. Katelyn is committed to establishing a strong therapeutic relationship with her clients by providing them with a safe and secure space to share their story. As a mother of school aged children with a busy load herself, she is well positioned to understand the challenges faced in doing life, school and work. Katelyn’s approach takes an evidence-based focus, while maintaining a flexible and collaborative manner, to ensure that treatment is in line with her clients’ needs. She uses a range of evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and supportive counselling with the overall aim of helping people of all ages utilise their strengths to achieve their desired outcomes and enhance their quality of life. Katelyn is the wife of an Anglican Minister and has a particular interest in supporting clergy wives and families cope with the challenges that ministry can present.

Michelle brings her genuine care and compassion for people, along with her experience working in therapeutic roles at Westmead Children’s Hospital, Blacktown Mental Health and the Brain and Mind Research Institute/Headspace Camperdown. Across all these roles, she has provided diagnostic assessments and individual therapy for mental health issues, including anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorders. She has also had experience working as an Applied Behaviour Analysis Therapist with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and has conducted therapy with children with ASD for comorbid mental health issues while working at Westmead Children's Hospital. Michelle is a keenly insightful therapist who has trained in a Masters of Clinical Psychology as well as in specialised therapeutic modalities.

Nicola Hodren (BPsychSc(Hons), MClinPsych) is a compassionate and dedicated clinical psychology registrar who values empathy, kindness, warmth and acceptance. Nicola is passionate about creating a non-judgemental space for solace, reflection and growth. Nicola has experience working with adults, children and families and has worked in private and public settings. She has an interest in emotion dysregulation, life adjustment issues, anxiety and mood disorders. Nicola takes a collaborative approach to tailor evidence-based treatments to an individual's needs. She has experience with a range of therapeutic approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, mindfulness-based interventions and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. Nicola is committed to continual learning and improvement by engaging in regular supervision, training opportunities, reviewing and contributing to research.
