Overview

Brittany is a registered psychologist and member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), who enjoys empowering people to reach their full potential in life. Brittany’s warm and relaxed manner will assist you to feel comfortable in sharing your experience, to ultimately facilitate personal growth. She provides a non-judgmental and empathetic understanding, enabling the safe exploration of presenting concerns. Brittany has a keen interest in working with young people (adolescence) and adults. She enjoys the opportunity to foster healthy coping across the lifespan, understanding the many challenges that people can face in their social, family, study and work lives. She brings with her experience from working in community mental health, family and employment service settings. This has exposed her to working with diverse populations and groups. Brittany will work with you collaboratively to gain insight into maladaptive patterns presenting, which can often contribute to symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress, anger, sleep disturbance or difficulty communicating. She utilises evidence-based interventions to help you discover the best version of yourself, including tailoring Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing (MI) practices that are trauma informed to meet your needs. A little bit more about Brittany… She enjoys cheering on the red and blue at the MCG, and seeking unique finds at markets or vintage stores. Brittany loves the thrill of giving something new life, and often uses her purchases to work on creative projects of her own. She can be found busting a move at zumba to keep fit whilst having fun, and is always up for a good laugh!
