I am a Melbourne-based medical doctor focused on helping people live longer, healthier lives through thoughtful, personalised and evidence-informed care. I completed my dual honours degree in Human Physiology and General Sciences (B.A. Mod. Hons.) at the University of Dublin in 2014. My research thesis explored cannabinoids as a therapeutic target in osteoarthritis and was presented at the International Cannabinoid Research Symposium that year. I completed my medical degree (MB, BCh, BAO) with distinction at the National University of Ireland in 2018 and have practised in Melbourne since 2020. Throughout my training, from community clinics to critical care, I saw how amazing modern medicine can be in moments of acute illness like pneumonia, trauma and sepsis. Structured protocols, rapid intervention and targeted treatment leave little room for ambiguity. I also recognised a different reality: many people live with chronic, complex or poorly understood conditions that don’t fit neatly into a single diagnostic category. Symptoms may be disabling, yet investigations are often described as “normal”, leaving patients feeling unseen, rushed or fragmented across multiple specialists. This shaped my clinical philosophy. I believe medicine works best when time, systems-thinking and collaboration are prioritised. I also recognise that there are as many ways to be ‘well’ as there are people. Rather than focusing solely on pathology, I take a unique approach to understand how your individual goals interact with physiology, environment, lifestyle, and stress. From there, we work together to blend evidence-based medicine with practical, sustainable strategies, developing a realistic plan with appropriate follow-up and a focus on long-term health rather than short-term fixes. Patients often describe my approach as thorough, calm and collaborative. Consultations are intentionally unrushed, with an emphasis on clear explanations and shared decision-making.
