Overview

Amy is a clinical psychologist who provides assessment and treatment of a variety of clinical and non-clinical presentations in children, adolescents, and young adults. She has an interest in treatment of the following: Anxiety; Depression, mood difficulties, low self-esteem; Trauma; and Relationship difficulties, such as sibling conflict, friendship problems, and bullying. With a warm, caring, and evidence-based approach, Amy explores how her clients have come to think, feel, and behave in the way they do, and uses this information to ensure that the treatment that she provides is tailored to their individual needs and concerns. She aims to create a safe and encouraging environment for young people and their parents to explore their emotions, express themselves, build resilience, and improve their skills for coping with all that life throws their way. With her clients, Amy uses the following therapies: Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), Circle of Security and attachment-based interventions, Triple P, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness. Amy enjoys diagnostic work to find the best outcomes and level of support for her clients. She provides formal assessments of Autism, ADHD, Specific Learning Disability, and Intellectual Disability.
