Sometimes 50-minutes is just not enough, so I’m giving you an option to book in for a 90-minute session. This will give us the chance to work even more deeply and for an extended amount of time. The Medicare rebate, if you are using it, is $137.05. If you can’t find a 90-minute timeslot in my calendar, please do text me on 0422 515 255, and I can let you know what other availability I have. If you have any questions, please ask. I look forward to connecting with you. Sue.
Let’s tap away your emotional trauma and get you back to health and vitality. Emotional freedom technique (EFT) was first created by an engineer, Gary Craig, in 1995. Back in the day, Internet was new and expensive, and he freely put his methods online. It was an adaption from Thought Field Therapy, which was both expensive and difficult to access. Gary Craig’s new methods were effective and pretty easy to learn. Since that time, other therapists have made adaptions to his methods and they have been tested through research, so EFT is now an evidence based treatment. Why I like EFT over EMDR (eyemovement desensitisation re-processing therapy), is that I can teach you, you can use this method at home for yourself as an emotional first aid technique and there are tons of free resources online to support you and doing so. With EMDR, it is great, but you need the therapist to do the work with you. If you are knew to EFT, then please check out Dr Peta Stapleton‘s TEDTalk: https://youtu.be/0Vu0Tibt1bQ?si=21t1_URK5dR0EmPQ I look forward to meeting you and if you have any questions, please ask.
Whether in person or online, I will use the method laid out by Dr Richard Schwartz, to understand your internal family system, to work with the firefighter protectors and manager protectors, to unburden your exiles who are holding your deep emotional wounds. With IFS, again and again, I am seeing radical internal transformation and so I look forward to working with you with this powerful method.
For Australians with a GP mental health care plan, you will receive a Medicare rebate of $137.05, which I will process directly after your appointment and the rebate will be in your bank account within 24–48 hours. Online or in person, we will commence with a thorough assessment so that I may understand your history, where you are at now and where you would like to be. If therapy is successful, what are you walking away with? I want to fulfil that for you. My methods are effective, I see radical transformation in my clients, and I look forward to meeting you and helping you to think better, feel better and do better. If you have any questions, please reach out. Sue.
Online or in person, I will do an assessment with you to understand your breath pattern and the patterns of your mind. I will guide you through meditation and breathwork practices so you can cultivate a daily routine. We will explore mindfulness practices so that you can have meditation as a lifestyle, a moment to moment experience of being present with yourself, in your body and in your life, so that it’s not just 30 minutes on the cushion but this is a life change. This literally will change your life in remarkable and profound ways with your commitment and investment into daily practice. Ultimately, I am talking about you developing your observing mind, that wise, infinite, and eternal aspect of yourself. What a phenomenal gift you are giving to yourself and your loved ones.
Seeking couples counselling is an investment in the long-term health of your relationship/family. My fees are comparable to other therapists with similar experience and training. You can check if you anre eligible for a rebate through your private health insurance if you have it. Please allow for a comprehensive relationship assessment comprising 1x couples assessment of 90 minutes with the both of you, then a 50 minute individual assessment for each person. This thorough assessment will tell me what’s going on and how best to work for your relationship recovery. The duration of couples counselling depends on a number of factors, including trauma history, attachment style and personality. But I’m always trying to work myself out of a job and will help you to get back on track as soon as possible. A note on betrayal/infidelity. If the primary focus is betrayal, it may be necessary that we are beginning by having at least two sessions a week so that we can de-escalate conflict and create stability in the couple system. If you have any questions, please ask. Sue.
