This fee is to be chosen for any psychologists when you want a private consultation that is not Medicare funded in full. You can claim the Medicare Rebate of Psychologist ($86.15), Clinical Psychologist ($126.50) against this amount. You also have the opportunity to claim via your private health insurance (if not electing to claim the fee from Medicare).
Conditions: - Must have Medicare Health Care Plan (MHCP) as provided by a doctor. - Must present valid MHCP at time of first session else you will need to pay full session fee. - Must be in financial hardship otherwise $160 with a rebate back to your medicare card of $87.45 - Non-attendance will result in fee being charged directly to you.
- Telephone consultation for 30 minutes with a Psychologist - No Medicare rebate/s are applicable - May be able to claim from your insurance company if you have private health insurance.
- Telephone consultation for 50 minutes with a Psychologist - No Medicare rebate/s are applicable - May be able to claim from your insurance company if you have private health insurance.
The initial consultation fee includes the cost of liaison with the previous treatment provider and the preparation of a management plan if required
