Overview

Supporting You Through Grief with Compassion and Understanding Hi, I’m Michelle Moriarty, founder of Grief Connect®, and I’m here to support you through the deeply personal and often overwhelming experience of grief. Grief isn’t something you “get over”. It’s something you learn to live with as life continues to unfold. My approach is grounded, compassionate, and practical, helping you feel less alone, more understood, and better supported as you navigate loss in your own time and in your own way. At Grief Connect®, I offer professional support services including: • Grief Counselling for adults navigating bereavement and complex loss • Workplace Grief Support for employees and organisations, including Employee Assistance Programs • Social Work and Disability Therapy for NDIS participants My work is shaped by both professional expertise and lived experience. I was widowed at 38, and I understand firsthand how isolating and disorienting grief can feel. This personal journey led me to establish Grief Connect®, a space where people feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported, without pressure to “move on” or grieve in a certain way. With over 20 years’ experience as a social worker, I am an Accredited Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers. I combine evidence-informed practice with deep empathy to provide care that is both clinically grounded and human-centred. I work especially with people experiencing partner loss, sudden or traumatic bereavement, parenting through grief, and workplace-related loss. What to expect: Your first session is a gentle, supportive conversation focused on understanding your story, what you’re going through right now, and what kind of support would feel most helpful. There is no pressure to share more than you are ready to. Ready to book? If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply tired of carrying this alone, you’re welcome to book an appointment now using the online calendar. Support is available, and you don’t have to do this by yourself.
